With our corporate strategy "Profitable Growth for Vestas" we have communicated specific, ambitious growth targets for service in coming three years. To achieve such targets while keeping our cost base steady requires a fundamental shift in how we operate - commercially as well as operationally. The Global Service LEAN team is responsible for driving further our Service Business' continuous improvement and execution excellence culture. We drive the process for Strategy Deployment, work on establishing global concepts, and execute breakthrough improvements based on world class methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma. As the Operational Excellence Professional (f/m/d) you will be part of a team of Operational Excellence Professionals in different geographical regions who will work constantly on increasing the Operational Excellence maturity of the Service business. While having high Safety and Quality standards, you will engage with our local Service Management Team and Service sites of the countries and Region you support to implement our Service LEAN roadmap, and support the sites to increase their LEAN maturity.

  • Analyse performance data and root causes to explain financial impact
  • Confirm validity of conclusions from data by physically visit sites, offices, warehouses and turbines
  • Manage small to medium improvement projects on work methods & processes in turbines and warehouses in corporation with the local service team
  • Secure Lean tools deployment and assess needs for training
  • Facilitate kaizen events and follow-up sessions to drive and sustain improvements
  • Reduce operational costs
  • Facilitate sharing of Lean best practices within your region/globally

Qualifications

  • An Academic degree, Bachelor level or higher
  • Minimum 3 years of LEAN/continuous
  • Improvement experience with a track record of success
  • Experience in managing small to medium projects within a national cross-functional environment
  • Analytical skills allowing you to explain performance data and the financial impact
  • Interest in working Hands-on alongside the technicians with all types of turbine components to identify improvement potentials
  • Flair for using IT tools to retrieve and analyze data
  • Superior written/verbal presentation and communication skills in English and German, any other language is a plus

Competencies

On a personal level it is very important that you possess influence and persuasiveness and have strong interpersonal skills. You got experience with change management and implementation of improvements. You must also have experience driving improvements based on Value Streams and Communicating next steps towards future state in a way that our technicians and back office staff understand. Moreover, we expect following competencies:



  • Either certification, certified experience or education in continuous improvement disciplines
  • Superior implementation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to create impact & connect with our workforce
  • Able to follow up in different countries (or areas within a country)
