With the revised edition of Germany’s General Administrative Rules for the Identification of Aircraft Obstructions (AVV), Germany is the first European country to make Aircraft Detection Lighting Systems (ADLS) mandatory for all wind turbines requiring obstruction markings - for wind farms onshore until 12/31/2022, wind farms offshore until 12/31/2023. All across Europe, there exists a recognition of a need for a general set of rules for obstruction lighting of wind turbines, rules should be preferably international, at least valid within the European Union.

  • Get an overview over the current demand and the legal framework for aviation safety, environmental impact and resident protection across Europe
  • Get an update on the development of an international standard for marking and obstruction lighting of wind farms by the Chair of the IEC committee
  • Learn how guidances, approval processes and type examination for obstruction lighting and ADLS for Wind Turbines look like in UK, France, Austria and the Netherlands and listen to the panel discussion of the experts.
  • Profit from first-hand experience with the implementation of ADLS from use cases and projects in Germany and abroad.
  • Take the chance for a deep dive into the different technologies and learn more about the European markets for ADLS and meet solution providers on our marketplace
